Free one-on-one counseling and assistance on all aspects of Medicare (parts A, B, C, D) and other medical benefit programs by trained counselors. This is the main ADMINISTRATIVE office. There are assistance locations throughout the state. This program is known at the federal level as the State Health Insurance Information Program (SHIP). | ||

Assistance with MEDICARE: eligibility, enrollment, benefits; premiums, costs, claims; comparison of Part D prescription drug plans; Medigap supplemental insurance; health plan options; and assistance with long term care options. SHIP also helps Medicare eligible persons who have limited income to apply for benefit programs such as MEDICAID, Medicare Savings Programs, and “Extra Help/Low Income Subsidy” which pay for or reduce health care costs. | ||
