Benefits Summary

Eye care program that helps prevent blindness caused by retinal disorders, cataracts, glaucoma etc. The Alternative Phone above is for Spanish speaking individuals.
 

Benefits

Preventive and corrective services include: Payment for eye exams, eye glasses, treatment, and surgery for eligible residents. Also, children screenings, low-vision evaluations etc. Care is available in all counties in the state.
 

Eligibility Guidelines

North Carolina residents who: do not qualify for Medicaid; meet income criteria; and have a need for medical eye care services, such as pain or discomfort in the eyes, blurred vision, ophthalmological disorders etc. Contact program for details.
