Free/Low-Cost/Sliding Scale Clinics


Free and low-cost clinics provide primary and preventive medical and dental care to area residents. In addition to the clinic name, address, telephone number, website (if available), and location map, the following information is listed for each clinic: fees, insurance guidelines, eligible patient income levels, and services offered. Please note that clinics are not necessarily free.

Fees: Vary by clinic, may be: free; based on a sliding scale of income, low cost, or the clinic may offer some meaningful type of financial assistance.

Insurance guidelines: Approximately 75% of the clinics listed on our web site accept patents that are uninsured, underinsured, or have insurance (private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid). Approximately 5% of our listed clinics accept only the uninsured.

Income levels: Approximately 80% of the clinics accept patients of all income levels. Some of the clinics accept only those patients below a certain income level (e.g. at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level).

Services offered: Vary by clinic but may include (but is not limited to): dental, counseling/mental health, diabetes care, disease testing/treatment, health education/nutrition, hearing, immunizations, laboratory, OB/GYN, pediatric, pregnancy, primary care, substance addiction, urgent care, vision, etc. The clinic may offer additional services not listed on our web site; contact the clinic directly for details.
