Health care coverage for low-income: families; children; pregnant women; blind; disabled etc. This is the home page for your state’s Medicaid program, a joint federal/state program that provides health care coverage for those with limited income and resources and who meet other eligibility requirements.


Comprehensive medical care, including, but not limited to, physician visits, hospitalization, dental, emergency ambulance, lab & x-ray services etc. There is no cost for those who meet income guidelines. Within Medicaid there are several programs that address the needs of specific groups; e.g. pregnant women, children etc.

Eligibility Guidelines

High medical bills; receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI); pregnant woman; or meet certain income, resources, age or disability requirements.

How to apply

Go to your local department of social services. Proof of: age; citizenship or alien status; income; where you live. Also: recent paycheck stubs if you work; bank books and insurance policies.
