April, the first month for our drug discount card, saw nearly 300 people save an average of 35% on their prescriptions. One person saw the cost of his oncololgy medication drop from $500 to $60 - nearly a 90% savings. Although that savings isn't typical, most people who use the card do save.

With the NeedyMeds Drug Discount Card you can save up to 90% off the price of your prescription medications not covered by insurance. The card is free and easy to use. Every time you use the card, NeedyMeds receives a small amount to help us continue our work.
The card is accepted at over 50,000 pharmacies, including major chains such as CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid.
Everyone is eligible to have a card. There are no fees, no registration, no paperwork, and no restrictions. Your card is active immediately. You can share it with friends and family members or they can print their own.
Here's how it works:

- Clip out the card.
- Give the card to the pharmacist along with your prescription.
- The pharmacist will tell you how much you saved using our drug discount card.

A few things to remember:
- This card is not an insurance program — it's a discount card.
- The card is not valid for Medicaid or Medicare patients using those programs to pay for their medications.
- There may be no savings for certain drugs including many inexpensive generics.
