Eligibility Guidelines

Program Details

Ages 3-17 years old in General Education, Home-Schooled or Special Education; A need for therapy due to physical impairment: Neuromusculoskeletal (PI), Speech/Language (SLI), Hearing (HI), Obesity (BMI > 95%), Vision (VI), Early Childhood (ECDD); Cognitive ability to participate in the process of setting and working towards goals; Ability to communicate (at a minimum) with a reliable, consistent “yes/no” response; Ability to socially interact with age-level peers A therapy and wellness center for children with physical disabilities between the ages of 3-17. Summer camp serves children with orthopedic, speech, hearing, and visual disabilities. Through an intensive seven-week program of daily therapy and traditional camping activities, children learn to become more independent and are inspired to believe in themselves and their full potential.

Application Process

If a child meets the eligibility guidelines, a referral is the next step in the camper application process. A specific Bay Cliff Referral Form is used. Parents can request a referral form from a therapist currently working with their child or from their family doctor. For families residing outside the Upper Peninsula, a referral form can be obtained by calling the program. A referral form can also be downloaded from website. Financial assistance may be available.
